P.E.R. - Player Efficiency Rating

Player Efficiency Rating, or P.E.R., an advanced stat metric was recently created. P.E.R. takes into account not just total points but also shut-out wins and how you compare to the league average allowing you to more accurately compare player performance from not only the current season but also previous seasons. A single season P.E.R. is always set at 15 for the league average meaning any number above or below is above or below the league average respectively.

P.E.R. is calculated as follows:

15 x (Player Total Points / (Seasons games - Season Shutouts*0.5)) / League PPG Avg)

P.E.R. can be viewed under the Advanced Stats section of the individual stats.
